I’ve ALWAYS wanted to cut down our own Christmas Tree, but since we had cats, and they were NAUGHTY and always into everything we just couldn’t do that. Now that we are in our new home and are cat free, we were able to finally cut down our own live tree and I must say, it was fun!!

We ventured to Seiple Farms (where we got our pumpkins too!!) and they had acres of beautiful trees to cut down! After a long HIKE up to the the trees in the mud (which Brody loved!) we finally made it to the trees. Brody was “ON” and was ready to find the tree. We let him pick out whatever tree he wanted and he had a hard time deciding. He found one, then said it was too short, another was too blue (LOL) and then he found ours and it was perfect!

He loved helping daddy cut down the tree and Sadie enjoyed just frolicking around the trees, hiding behind them, playing peek-a-boo etc.. she DID NOT like the mud (uh oh is she a girly girl???) but she did like the muddy tractor ride back with our tree!

The tree is about 7.5 feet tall and is perfectly round at the bottom and narrow towards the top. Brody did an AWESOME job, and I’m excited we get to start this new family tradition!

Here are some of my favorite shots from the day…
